Jack O'Lantern Warmers!

Just in time for Halloween! You CAN still get your Jack O'Lantern Scentsy Warmers! I felt horrible after displaying these at the Under the Harvest Moon Celebration, fully knowing they were no longer available in the catalog. I had so many people interested, so I did some digging!

Buy a Buddy Campaign

I am so excited to launch my very own Buddy Campaign!

As many of you know, in the Fall of 2010, a tragedy struck our family. Amidst the hospital visits, I was grateful to the staff, who thoughtfully presented our daughter with gifts to make her visit more bearable. In fact, in the year that’s passed, she still speaks fondly of her “bear from the hospital,” a clear indication that not only was her visit bearable, but also memorable -- out of joy, instead of sadness or fear.

This summer, I was saddened and greatly touched by the death of Shannon Stone, the Texas firefighter who lost his life while attending a baseball game with his son. Imagining his son, alone in that tragic moment, and how desperately he must have have needed someone or something to comfort him, a Buddy came to mind. Shannon’s years of service to his community as a firefighter, coinciding with Scentsy’s mission to bring safe, flameless candles to the world, made it clear that creating the “Buy a Buddy Campaign” in his honor was only fitting.

The “Buy a Buddy Campaign” aims to provide children who are victims of tragedy with a Buddy in their greatest time of need. Whether they have just lost a parent, their home or belongings, or have been injured from abuse, an accident, or natural disaster, a Buddy could be the one thing that turns their tears into a smile.

Participating in the “Buy a Buddy Campaign” is simple. You may purchase a Scentsy Buddy to be given to a child in need; you may also make a cash donation to help with the purchase of Scentsy Buddies. The Buddies will be ordered and shipped to an organization that reaches out to children in need, including fire stations, police stations, hospitals and food shelves.

Your purchase of a Scentsy Buddy can make a difference in the lives of many, part of a cycle that continues to give back. You see, when an order is placed for a Scentsy Buddy, the commission I earn will be used to buy more Scentsy Buddies. In fact, by bringing joy to any child (your son, niece, grandchild, cousin, neighbor) with the gift of a Scentsy Buddy, you will add joy to the life of another child.

In launching the “Buy a Buddy Campaign” in August 2011, I am reminded of how my daughter, upon receiving her Lenny the Lamb one year ago, spoke so innocently: “every kid should have a Scentsy Buddy.”

Spring is on it's way...with Scentsy's new Spring & Summer scents, it will feel as though it's already here! That's right, the new Spring/Summer Catalog comes out March 1, with lots of amazing new scents!
